Marcelino agana jr. love of country and its culture Values "There is no place like home" Marcelino Agana Jr. is a Filipino writer, famous for having written a classic satirical play “New Yorker in Tondo” in the early 50’s which was first staged by the Far Eastern University (FEU) Drama Guild at the FEU, Manila,and was considered to be one of the most popular Filipino comedies that have been produced many times through the years. Marcelino Agana Jr. is also the author of a classic satirical one-act play and the world's premier of Dr. Jose Bernard capino's "the commonwealth of Virginia" make up the special twin bill presentation dubbed "Maiba...Taya!" He also won the Carlos Palanca MemorialAwards for literature in 1956 as First Place on the One-Act Play Category.
