mars weighs in at 600 quintillion tons
142 million miles away from the sun
Average temperature is -81 degrees F
Like earth mars has a North and South polar ice caps.
it is known to have extrat
it takes neptune 1 Neptunian to orbit the sun.
(1 Nepunian year is about 165 earth year)
Neptune is a sister ice planet to uranus.
neptune weighs 2.24871507428575125000000000
THE PLANETS by: Nick N. &Andrew

Mercury is the planet closest to the Sun.
Mercury is one of five planets that can be seen without using a telescope
Venus is called after the Roman Goddess of love and beauty.
Venus is 67 million miles from the sun.
Venus is covered by clouds of water vapour and sulphuric acid and the surface cannot be seen with an ordinary astronomy telescope.
Earth is the only planet that has an atmosphere containing 21 percent oxygen.
It takes 365.26 to orbit around the sun
The satellite on earth is the 5th largest in the solar system
surface temperature is -88 to 58 degrees Celsius.
the estimate mass is 5,972,190,000,000,000 billion Kilograms
it is the largest terrestrial inner planet.
the moon has low gravity.
Mass: 73,476,730,924,573,500 million kg
Orbits: The Earth
Average Distance from Earth: 384,400 km
Length of Orbit: 27.3 Earth days
Saturn is the second largest planet in the Solar System.
diameter of 75,098 miles
debris ring
The seventh planet from the Sun, it was not known in ancient times, unlike the planets from Mercury to Saturn.
Because Uranus is lying on its side as it orbits the sun, for nearly a quarter of its orbit one pole of the planet is in complete darkness.
the sun
Fusing hydrogen and helium gives us light.
The sun is 4.6 billion years old
it is 5500 degrees Celsius
it's a yellow dwarf star
the sun will eventually be the size of earth and will turn to a white dwarf star
Black Hole
Not even light can escape
objects "freeze" when in a black hole
black holes form when the center of a very massive star collapses in upon itself. This collapse also causes a supernova, or an exploding star, that blasts part of the star into space.

Pluto was the Roman God of the Underworld.
with a diameter of around 1400 miles.
It takes Pluto 248½ years to complete its orbit round the Sun.
Jupiter has a diameter of 88,700 miles, or 142,750 kilometres.
The gas giants are entirely composed of dense layers of gas.
Jupiter is made of hydrogen, helium, methane and ammonia. The cloudy sphere has bright belts on it which change their shape.
asteroids can be dangerous. Many have hit Earth in the past, and more will crash into our planet in the future.
Asteroids are leftovers from the formation of our solar system about 4.6 billion years ago.
the rocks are very dry
