HOW LOON IS DESIGNED???
Project Loon is a research and development project being developed by Google with the mission of providing Internet access to rural and remote areas
Two-thirds of world population does not yet have internet access.
So to connect world population via internet, In 2011 the unofficial development of the project began under incubation in Google X
On 16 June 2013 a
Balloons travel approximately 20 km above the Earth’s surface in the stratosphere.
Each loon has antenna that connects it to the ground.
There is a special antenna that is installed on ground to access the internet from the loon
Also each has radio antenna that connects all loons with specialized radio frequency
FUTURE PLANS OF PROJECT LOON
The system is still experimental
Google believes that it will eventually bring INTERNET access to many parts of the world where there is little or no connectivity.
They are also finding partners for the next phase of the project
It acts as a power source
by providing power
to the system using
It contains various electronic gadgets like ckt boards,radio antennas,batteries.
Batteries are used to store the solar energy in which is used by the system during night
It's the inflatable balloon made of
