VOC’s (volatile organic compounds)
To reduce the amount of VOC’s indoors is to have a proper ventilated room [5].
Others by products/waste from producing paints are dust, which are small solid particles that is released into the atmosphere which may cause irritation in the lungs and more severe things such as lung infections.
Green version of our product
We're using Farrow and Ball as an example
Chemical and Physical Properties
This green product uses natural occurring materials such as chalk and lime putty.
It also uses water instead of using VOC.
This matches to one of the principles, less hazardous chemical syntheses .
Water-base paint dissolves in water easily[10]
Manufacturing processes and energy sources
Making the paste
The naturally occurring components of the paint is carefully measured according to its weight
Resins are added to stop the pigments from sticking to each other.
Then a the right amount of water.
Dispersing the pigments
Thinning the paste
Canning the paint
Waste materials and by-products
There aren’t any sort of major waste products.
They Also do not produce any harmful gases during the production of their paint [11]
Just as conventional paint, they all use the same paint cans because paint cans are recyclable.
Do not need paint thinner to clean up, you just need warm water and soap.
Safety and Ease of use
1) What makes our product greener?

naturally occurring materials instead of high level of plastic
This product succeeded to decrease harmful materials.
2) What makes your production processes greener?
In general when harmful substances are used to make a product they release even more harmful substances as they are being produce. Our product is greener because they use less artificial materials that contain harmful and toxic compounds. Some of these include chalk, lime putty, where as in using plastic would release sulfur and carbon which is basically air pollution. And also they do not release fumes such as HAPs or VOCs while they are being produced which is also another reason why our product is greener. Packaging wise, all paints are greener in that way. This is because the metal used for paint cans are recyclable which makes our production processes even more greener.
