Also the skull Arthritis: causes joints to swell and causes stiffness.

Osteoporosis: bones become fragile and more likely to fracture. Arthritis Osteoporosis A ligament connects two bones or cartilages or holds together a joint. A tendon attaches a muscle to a bone. Hinge Joint The hinge joint allows bones to move back and forth like a hinge door A pivot joint allows rotation around an axis Ball-and-socket joint allows 360 degree rotation or full circle movement Your skull protects your brain, while your ribs protect your heart and lungs. Synovial Fluid protects two bones that meet at a joint from rubbing and causing friction. Axial skeleton-protects body organs. (80 bones)
Appendicular-helps in movement. (126 bones) FILL IN! By Kaylie Harkins
