What is a Pediatrician?
Medical practitioner specializing in children (from birth to age 21)
Manage the physical, mental, and emotional well being of young patients in every stage of their life.
Make a big difference in a child's life.
Humans, animals, and other species all take care of each other.
I love helping others in any way I can!
I love to become a pediatrician because its the perfect match for me. I can impact their lives in many ways.
You must be patient, kind, and caring and I have all of those characteristics plus more.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Biology, Chemistry, Physics (basic sciences) Organizations & Activities
College/University:
4 years of undergraduate courses to obtain Bachelor degrees (includes classes such as Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, Organic Chemistry, and Calculus)
Following 4 years of
medical school
that will get you a MD or DO degree.
First 2 years focused on basic medical sciences, 3rd and 4th year is when you decide on a specialty of medicine.
NOW YOU ARE A GENERAL DOCTOR!
However, you need 3 years of
residency
at a local hospital. (Training)
First year is formally called an Internship.
Obtain a medical license and take several harsh tests dealing with medical conditions.

Past 5 years, Sub-Saharan Africa :
Kidney disease increasing, dealt with abnormal imaging, kidney dysfunction, hematuria (blood in urine), and etc.
Abnormalites in kidney and urinary tract causing 50 percent of chronic kidney disease.
Inflammatory leads to progessiveness, Parasitic infections.
HIV, Streptucoccus, sickle cell disease, diabetes, and hypertension.

Emerged a century ago following the general pattern of the history of medicine.
Traditions of care in the home, roots of modern medicine, emergence of science in 1600s, and faith that went with medicines.
Most care was done in the home, usually religious women in the community with reputation for expertise in medical manners.
In 1400s, invention of resources that made medical works more accessible to scholars.
In 1910, approximately a hundred physicians and by 1935 there were several thousands.
First hospital, Hopital des Enfants Malades, opened in Paris June 1802.
February 2015, Premature birth
60,000 babies being born preterm (before 37 weeks) in UK every year.
Suffering life long consequences, they are identifying biological markers identifying women likely to have preterm babies.
