Kelley Compass I Who am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going? How do I get there? Bucket List Map of Preferences and Possibilities Chosen Academic Major Goals What else I should I do along the way? Connecting It All Together iStartStrong Through iStartStrong, I learned my themes are Conventional and Enterprising. These themes state I am an organized, persistent, and practical person. Keirsey Temperament Guardian Provider (ESFJ) Guardians are logical people who are dependable, helpful and hardworking. They enjoy working in teams to reach a common goal. Because they value teamwork, Guardians require a work environment that emphasize both the team and individual. Starting Point These two projects allowed me explore what was important to me, who I am, and how did I arrive to where I am today. I have chosen to pursue an Accounting degree. This is my chosen major because I am organized and practical. There is structure in the accounting field which matches my personality. Everything has a place and has to be organized. Definition and Icon of Success My definition of success is working hard to achieve a goal. Success can be as small as running a mile without stopping or as big as being a millionaire by the age 35. If one has a goal and he achieves it, that's success. My icon of success is Micheal Jordan. He is not my icon because he is the greatest basketball player of all time. Instead, it is because he accepts failure. Jordan once said,
"I have missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 3000 games. On 26 occasions, I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."
I believe that failure motivates people to succeed. In order to succeed, you must fail at some point. Accepting that failure also helps you succeed. If you realize you have failed in the past, you will be more motivated to succeed in the future. Get accepted into Kelley School of Business
