Women wear the abaya, hijab and some might add a niqab. A abaya is a long black robe. A hijab is a head-scarf which covers the neck and part of the head. A niqab covers the mouth and nose and only leaves the eyes exposed. The abaya was traditionally completely black but today, some women put on colorful embroideries around the collar or on the sleeves. Younger women like to wear fitted abayas.
