dyslexia, and ADHD. What is ADD and OCD? The acronym ADD stands for "Attention Deficit Disorder". This learning disability is classified as the difficulty to stay focused and pay attention. It affects a person's home, school, and social life. Approximately 2 million children around the United States have ADD. Some methods to overcome this disability include medication and brain-training. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001926/ "I have OCD mixed with ADD, you try living with that. It's complicated," This quote, said by Justin Timberlake himself, describes his situation perfectly. Similar to many other celebrities, Justin has an obsession where every object has to be aligned perfectly. He reportedly spends hours on end, straightening objects, and in addition, Timberlake feels as if he has to have certain types of food inside of his refrigerator. To cope with his learning disabilities, music and laughter has always helped Justin. When he can't fall asleep, he always sings himself to sleep, and Justin says that, "My earliest memories as a kid was I would always try to make my mom and my stepdad laugh at dinner. Or make my friends laugh in class. And I don't know, it's something I just really enjoy doing,". In addition, his family has always supported and encouraged Timberlake. His mother and stepfather had taught him humility with the simple saying: "Everybody puts their pants on the same way every morning." Acting Career In addition to his musical career, Timberlake has expanded into the film industry.
He starred in "Friends With Benefits", "The Social Network"and Bad Teacher."
He also voices Artie in "Shrek the Third" . "I remember when I was really young and my parents telling me, Michael Jordan's a great basketball player but that doesn't make him superhuman, you know? That makes him a great basketball player." This quote showcases Timberlake's humility, taught to him at a young age. It explains that while someone famous may seem like a superhuman, with amazing skills, at the end of the day, that celebrity's just good at doing what their passion is. The life lesson learned from this is that even though you can be famous and well-known, you are still a human being and everything is accomplished through hard work. Quotes "All you can do as an artist is do what you think is an extension of you. You put down on paper ... who you are. That's what being an artist is all about. And when it gets done, you don't look back at it and say, 'Oh, I could have done that better'" This quote, said in 2002, is Timberlake's view on fame. He believes that being an artist, a star, all it is really another version of yourself. When you tell the media who you are, you can't go back and try to be something else just because you could have done something better. The life lesson learned from this is to be truthful about who you are, because once you say or do something, you can never take it back.
