Tae Kwon Do By Lincoln Updike MEANING Tae means kick
Kwon means punch
Do means art so Tae Kwon Do means the art of kicking and punching that was called a 720. it combines tornado and spining hook kick. there are many, many other kicks. Like back-kick and skip-45. SPARRING In sparring you wear a chest guard, helmet, shin gaurds, and arm gaurds. that is an example of sparring FORMS forms are a pattern of hand and foot techniques there are different forms for each belt and each form has a name for example the purple belt form is called sa jang THE END HISTORY Tae Kwon Do has evolved by combining many different styles of martial arts that existed in Korea over the last 2,000 years and some martial arts styles from countries that surround Korea. Over fifty Chinese circular hand movements can be identified in modern Taekwondo. The earliest records of Taekwondo practice date back to about 50 B.C. You get one point for a kick to the body,
two points for a spinning kick to the body,
three points for a kick to the head, and
four points for a spinning kick to the head.
