Transcript of Adidas Prezi
It is a German multinational corporation founded in 1948 by Adolf Dassler. Adolf was also known as Adi (that's where the name Adidas comes from). He was said to be a lateral thinker and an inventor. Adidas designs and manufacturers sport clothing and accessories, such as footwear, bags, watches and eye wear. It is the largest sportswear manufacturer in Germany and Europe.
In 1995 Adidas joined the Frankfurt Paris Stock Exchange.
is is Adolf's first pair of shoes, witch he made in his mothers laundry room by hand as he didn't have any electricity.
Impossible is Nothing!
Adidas eventually took over many other smaller sports gear manufacturing company's.
Adidas eventually took over five smaller sports gear manufacturing company's.
In 1996, Adidas equips 6000 Olympians and apparel sales increase by 50%.
Adidas is now the second largest sports apparel manufacturer in the world, following Nike.
Adidas operates 2,401 stores for the Adidas and Reebok brands worldwide.
Adidas employs over 42000 people. Roughly 3000 of those people work in the Adidas headquarters.
Adidas began developing football shoes in 1925.
One of their sayings was; "Failure is a big part of the innovation process, as long as you learn from it."
By introducing new types of shoes and better shoes, Adidas hopes it will help them catch other shoe brands.
For example, they have made a new shoe called the 'Energy Boost' that took 3 years to develop. They claim it diverts more energy to your legs.
Adidas is making products eco friendly. It takes 25 liters of water to dye a t-shirt so our line of 50,000 Adidas DryDye graphic t-shirts has saved over 1.2 million liters of water.
"It is all about improving performance for the athletes, whether that's a top star or my mother!"
New shoes and gear has changed the way we perform, play sport and exercise.
Better shoes means its better for our health and our body's. For example better shoes give better foot and ankle support. This benefits people who may have weak or injured ankles and feet.
Adidas make ankle braces/supports, that also ensure support for injured and weak ankles.
The materials Adidas use to make items like shoes, bags, sport equipment etc, have less effect on the environment, and the new ways of making these leave less wastage.
