HORSES
Yesterdays Breaking of a Horse
Years ago, people would break (make able to ride) horses by getting on them and letting them buck till the horse couldn't stand anymore.
Race Horses
A horse can reach the speed of about 40 miles per hour, but the world record horse reached the speed of 43.97 miles per hour. The fastest breed of the horse is the Thoroughbred.
There are more than 350 different breeds and types of horses, and can be found all over the world.
They are also a social animal, meaning that they prefer to be with other horses, humans, and many other animals.
