ISF Cross-Country World School Championship 2016
Transcript of ISF Cross-Country World School Championship 2016
Hungary lies in the middle of Europe, in the Carpathian Basin. Its foundation was laid in the late 9th century and the country is welcoming more than 5 million visitors each year.
HUNGARY. THE HEART OF EUROPE.
THE RUNNING CITY
Budapest hosts many international running events round the year. The most popular ones are the Budapest International Half Marathon (in 2013 the 28th with 13 000 runners), the Budapest Marathon (this year also the 28th with 22 000 runners), and the Budapest Running Festival.
BUDAPEST. LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.
Budapest is one of the most beautifully situated towns in the world.
The river Danube cuts the city in two and separates the hills and valleys of the western Buda side from the flat Pest side in the east.
The UNESCO World Heritage Committee has listed the view of the Danube enbankments and the Castle District as a World Heritage site in 1987. The World Heritage Site has been later extended with parts of the old town of Pest.
