Duolingo is a free online (ICT) that provides extensive written lessons and dictation, with speaking practice so students attending Jóvenes UNIVO A+ will increase their linguistic skills.
BACKGROUND OF THE PROBLEM
Duolingo as an ICT

ICT Curriculum Statement
As students work towards the achievement of 6 Level standards in Information and Communications Technology (ICT), they apply known ICT tools for visualizing, thinking in new ways to make links between existing and new knowledge.

This app allows the students to use their device as learning tool Students do independent studying without being constantly overlooked.
Meets parts of the curriculum goal, as students are making links between existing and new knowledge as they record their findings.


ROLE OF ICT TOOL
Potentials of the ICT Tool

It is free, it is very accessible.

Students are able to share with one another their findings- therefore teaching each other and reinforcing their new knowledge.

Learning the new Language is seen more as a game, rather than a challenging task

ICT must be integrated into both the English curriculum and English pedagogical practice.

To determine the influence of Duolingo free online (ICT) as a learning tool for improving the English skills in Jóvenes UNIVO A+ English Project in San Miguel City.

Based on the results gathered from the sample selected at Jóvenes UNIVO A+ English
project, it can be concluded that Duolingo free online ICT enhances morphological
structures and positively reinforces vocabulary but it is not beneficial in terms of
listening skills.

RECOMMENDATIONS
-DUOLINGO PROGRAMMERS SHOULD RECORD AUDIOS AT A SLOWER SPEED WHEN SPEAKING, TAKING INTO ACCOUNT THAT NON- NATIVE SPEAKERS WILL BE LISTENING TO THEM WHEN DEVELOPING EXERCISES.
-Duolinguo programmers should create a school based english methodology which can be used at schools depending on students age in english level.
Teacher should provide valuable information on the development of academical techniques using the ICT` S Particulary on the use of free online courses as Duolinguo.
At last, Doulingo free online English ICT does not enhances listening comprehension in jovenes UNIVO A+ English project which leads to the acceptation of the null hypothesis due to students stated that audios at Duolingo ICT were recorded at fast speed which did not help to develop an accurate comprehension of it.
