We are introduced to the Narrator and we immediately know he is crazy. By denying he is crazy, it makes him seem more guilty and psychotic. Then, he starts to tell his story. Rising Action The rising action is when narrator is planning to take the old mans life because of his vulture eye. He is vexed by it and can't stand it anymore. Every night for seven days, he sticks his head in the old man's room and watched him sleep. On the eighth night, the old man is curious and nervous. Since he is awake, the mad man can see his eye and is able to kill him. Climax Falling Action The falling action of the story in the Tell- Tale Heart is when the Fuzzy Poe Poe's arrive because the old mans neighbors heard a shriek from what they said was the old man himself. They wanted to investigate the house to see if anything is wrong. Denouement While the Fuzzy Poe Poes are investigating the house, the psychopath sets them in the old mans chamber, down for tea. The mad man sets him self down on the grave where he buried the old man. Then something strange happened. The mad man started to hear the beating of the old mans heart. the noise got louder and louder until, the mad man couldn't take it anymore and said that he murdered the old man and showed them where he killed him. Exposition Rising Action Climax- murders the old man Falling Action Denouement The climax in the story is when the psychopath murders the old man. The narrator throws the old man on the floor of his bedroom and topples his bed on top of him. He suffucates the old man, until he is stone dead. The mad man digs the planks out of the chamber, and hides the old man in them. Police come to investigate The mad man hears the heart beat of the old man and gives up his secret. Introduced to the main characters.
