World War II Pearl harbor Bombing in Japan Adolf Hitler The first wave was to be primary attack, while the second wave was to finish whatever task reamained. 4 scout planes patrolled the area between the Kido Butai and Hiihau, in order to prevent the task force from being caught by a surprise counterattack. No air craft carriers were touched by the
Japanese attack. In all, 408 aircraft were used. At
6:30 am the first wave came through
they included 183 horizontal bombers and
fighters. Then, at 8:30 170 torpedo
bombers made up the second wave.
Japan was intending to launch its aircraft to attack Pearl Harbor. The aircrews were ordered to select
the highest value targets. They were
many ships along with Pearl Harbor. Hitler was born on April 20, 1889. January 30, 1933 he was appointed chancellor. July 14 the Nazi party was declared the only
legal party in Germany. August 2, 1934 the president
died and Hitler gained
power. He invaded Great Britian, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungry, Yogoslavia, Bulgaria, Komania, Poland, the Soviet Union, Belgium, and Lichetenstein. He associated with the Japanese. The Nazis were close to creating
the atomic bomb but they were stopped. The U.S. dropped two atomic bombs in 1945. Hiroshima was bombed August 6, 1945.
The bomb destroyed 5 miles of the city.
Between 70,000 and 100,000 thousand people
were killed. August 6, 1945 the second atomic bomb was laid in Nagasaki. It destroyed 1.8 square miles. It injured 40,000 people and 40,000 were killed or missing.. The Peace Memorial
was built were the bomb
exploded. On August 14, 1945 Japan surrenddered. When the Allies won over Germany it was called
D-day and the date was June 6,1944. The U.S dropped one and a half
million short tons of bombs on
Germany in WWII.
