Introduction
Did you know the Mexican Culture introduced chocolate, corn and chilies to the world.
The Mexican Culture is one of the most well known Cultures around the world.
The Mexican Culture is very unique because of it's Food's, Culture and Holidays.

Different ways prepared.
Either green/red chile and beef/Chicken.
Can be topped with lettuce or cheese.
Can also add a side food, like beans.
In addition to our foods our Holidays are very festive.
A simple mixture of chile and pork.
Eaten with tortillas or tostadas.
Can also add a 2nd food.
Made of masa (a starchy dough, usually corn based).
Is steamed or boiled in a leaf wrapper.
Filled with meats, cheese, fruits, vegetables.

The Holidays are what brings families together.
January 6
Commemorates the arrival of the three Wise Men
An oval sweetbread, decorated with candied fruit.
The knife represents the danger baby Jesus was in.
Rosca represents a safe place baby Jesus was.
Whoever finds this figurine of baby Jesus is obligated to host an upcoming party on February 2nd.
Egg shells are saved, colored, & filled with confetti
Egg are then smashed on the head
Easter Sunday (Domingo de Pascua), which remembers the biblical story of when Jesus rose from death.
In Mexico, Christmas is celebrated from the December 12th to January 6th.
Main Christmas celebration is called La Posada.
Which is a religious procession that reenacts the search for shelter by Joseph and Mary before the birth of Jesus.
During the procession, the celebrants go from house to house carrying the images of Mary and Joseph looking for shelter.
A day of giving thanks to the people you love.
Whole family gathers around table.
Eating mainly Turkey, Ham and Potato.
Lastly our culture is what defines us.
The Mexican Culture is what express our Art, Traditon, and Passion.
November 1 & 2
Gatherings to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died
Honoring the deceased with sugar skulls, marigolds, and the favorite foods.
Visiting graves with these as gifts.
Mexico's Independence day
Commemorate the Mexican army's victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.
Mexicans celebrate the day of there independence.
