97% of its land is on the asain side
The total land area in Turkey is only slightly larger than Texas
The currancy used in Turkey is called Turkish Lira
The Republic of Turkey was established in 1923
Atatürk was the first president
Turkish is the offical language

Food
CAY, a popular coffee made ub Turkey is served wiht a thick foam on top and coffee grounds in the bottom. You are not supposed to stir it. CAY is only served with meals you can enjoy it with (ex. breakfast) also CAY is not served in a regular coffee cup its served in a glass cup.
Most drinks are served room temp the only drink served with ice is RAKI (Turkey's national alcoholic beverage)

Yaprak Sarma - Wrapped vine leaves with a filling of rice, onion and spices like mint, currant, pepper and cinnamon.
Lahmacun - . A thin crust of pastry is covered with toppings including cheese, egg, diced meat, chicken or tuna and then it is put it into a high heat stone oven.
Popular sports in Turkey include Basketball, volleyball, camel wrestling, and football (soccer)
