Hacking and Cracking What is Hacking and Cracking? Hacking is modifiying a computer's hardware and software to acomplish a goal outside the creators purpose. Cracking is when an individual breaks into a system and steals personal information or destroys important files. Hacking Pros and Cons Pros A Hacker can break into your network and find security issues and threats that need to be fixed.

There are jobs available for hacking. Cons If the hacker is doing something for his/her own gain.
