THE ART OF PREZI
We believe great prezis should be everywhere, so together we made this to
help you create amazing prezis.
You will learn:
- what makes a prezi good or bad
- the principles and resources of prezi design
- presentation tips that will help you shine on stage
We won't tell you exactly where they are in this prezi, but you should be able to find them everywhere.
They give meanings to images. They help audiences understand the topic.
It can help set the mood for the prezi.
Instrumentals work best
Reduce the volume of the file
so you don't shock headphone users
or cause embarrassment for speaker users

Be careful of what you choose! Sometimes, it can be
ONE OF THE FIRST THINGS TO SET
before you begin a prezi
Many projectors are
Newer ones are
If you have the chance,
visit the venue and check how it looks like.
Not only can you check the screen ratio,
you can also plan interactive activities, seating,
and most importantly,
make it your comfort zone.
It is also fine to leave it "off".
But be careful when placing
contents, because some
surprises may be spoiled by
...and laptops too
Prezi planned in...
But the actual screen is...
Stuff that shouldn't be there
But if you've set
these when you
and the screens don't match, black borders will come and help you
Of course, it's better if they match!
Look for feedback from your audience
Raise your voice
create an emotional connection between ideas
Don't read from the screen
Tell a story
Talk to someone before your presentation or try to make a laugh
...but don't drink too much or you'll have to run to the toilet!
Keep reminding yourself how ready and confident you are
Try to relax!
Drink a glass of water
Maybe watching a funny video on youtube will loosen you up!
Take a short walk. Make your arms and legs shake
...now it really is the time!
NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT
This is a

WHAT TO DO
WITH THE VECTORS?
1. Edit them
2. Export as .swf (flash) file
3. Import into Prezi

Usually, you get
You are now
ready for the
world out there, so...
...GO SHARE YOUR IDEAS, MAKE IT YOUR OWN!
Makes your audience unfocused
There are many non-linear templates
Use the ones that suit your ideas!
You might like to zoom into an image to show
your audience something and
when you zoom...
BUT MOST OF ALL...
one last thing...
Copying & pasting an entire chart into a prezi
Your audience doesn't have time and isn't interested in figuring out what to focus on
Instead, use Prezi's simple shapes
to create a simple chart
And you can even
zoom into the figures

Resize / draw frame
according to ratio
(4:3 or 16:9)
zoom into a sub point
and then move on to another
and clean visuals
USE MINIMAL TEXT
to make your audience more focused
Don't just use linear format
to express your ideas
EVEN IF YOU
START FROM BLANK...
you can arrange
to convey meanings
Don't zoom into low resolution images
OR VECTOR GRAPHICS
USE HIGH RESOLUTION IMAGES
They are images based on mathematical expressions, not pixels. So they are scalable infinitely without loss of quality, which are
perfect for prezis!
Symbols & shapes provided in the Prezi editor are vectors
Almost all of the graphics used in this prezi are vectors
It never pixelates
(I know I do...)
Sometimes you get excited about Prezi and do this
which doesn't help your audience understand your topics
DON'T SCATTER FRAMES ALL AROUND THE CANVAS
ADD A LOGICAL ARRANGEMENT
so it is meaningful & makes sense
Never, ever, ever make wide angle spins, please.
The feature is not designed for that.
Now we have to go back out, so one more spin, hopefully the last in your lifetime. Apologies!
Some people hate Prezi because it makes them feel seasick
the person who doesn't know how to use it correctly
minimize THE ANGLES OF ROTATION
(smaller than 90 degrees)
AND PREFERABLY USE IT TO CONVEY A MEANING
ZOOM IN 1
ZOOM IN 2
Avoid zooming in and out constantly
show smaller details that are not
clearly visible without zooming
Important items bigger
Subtle, natural movements in a hierarchy of objects
It's great for adding DEPTH
to your presentation
You can of course, also draw inspiration from the design of this prezi itself.
BY THE WAY... How many birds can you find in this prezi?
