TERRA COTTA SOLDIERS Who built the Terra Cotta Soldiers, and why? Qin Shi Haung had the Terra Cotta Soldiers built. Qin Shi had 700,000 workers build the terra cotta soldiers. Qin Shi Haung wanted the Terra Cotta Soldiers built to rule another kingdom in the after life.
(said wikipedia) When was the Terra Cotta Army built, how many? The Terra Cotta Army was built in 210 b.c. There were over 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520 horses, and over 150 cavalry horses. Qin Haung Si was thirteen when they were finished. ( Stated by the museum of Terre Cotta Worriors and Horses). Who found the terra cotta army, and where? In March of the year 1974, a group of peasents digging a well in Droughtparched, Shanxi province in northwest China unearthed fragments of a clay figure. There were 7,000 soldiers, horses, chariots, and even weapons have been found. All of the soldiers, horses, and chariots were divided into 3 pits. When found all of the soldiers were life size. ( Stated by the Smithsonian).
