Opening Thoughts: "It is not the strongest species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the ones most responsive to change" – Charles Darwin "The illiterate of the 21st Century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn." - Alvin Toffler “In times of change, learners inherit the Earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists” — Eric Hoffer My Personal Lens: Former Science Teacher Father Technology Coordinator We all have certain goals, needs, interests, motivations, and/or problems...

We need to learn from others to help us grow our knowledge and skill...

This notion of needing to learn is nothing new!

We've had libraries, schools, universities, etc. to achieve our learning goals...

But the Internet, the read / write web, brings unprecedented opportunities for learning... for those with the skills
Let's talk about knowledge and information in the digital age (the here and now) ...

New knowledge and information being produced exponentially...

New ways of organizing and mining this information landscape are needed (tools and skills)...
