THANKSGIVING Are you happy? If so, what makes you so happy? But..Are you thankful for these things? Thanksgiving is a time to thank God, whose guidance and care go before us...and whose love is with us forever. The Canadian Thanksgiving Day is held on the second Monday of October.  During Thanksgiving, leaves turn spectacular colours  - red, orange, yellow and brown. Children love to make leaf piles and jump in them. Praying Thanksgiving Parades Family Dinner Intro Food Traditions It is equivalent to other harvest celebrations like the Winter Solstice.




Family plays a very important role in both festivals. Roasted Stuffed Turkey Mashed Potatoes and Gravy Pumpkin Pie Apple Cider Candied sweet potatoes Cranberry Sauce Give Thanks Family? Learning Environment? Food? Fresh Cranberries People go home during the Thanksgiving holiday and spend time with their family. Everyone follows the custom of family dinner and reunion. In Manhattan, New York City, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is held every Thanksgiving Day.

This is the biggest and most famous Thanksgiving parade. People have meal time prayers during the day. Turkey Wheat Sweet Potatoes Brown Sugar Marshmallows Apples Pumpkin Potatoes Friends? Give thanks with a grateful heart
