How did the White Ribbon Campaign get started ?
The White Ribbon Campaign was formed in 1991, when men in Canada decided that they had a responsibility to encourage men to speak out on violence against women. They encouraged men by starting to wear a white ribbon that would symbolize the men's opposition to violence against women.
When is the focus of the campaign?
The focus of the campaign in most countries start from November 25th (also known as the International Day for Eradication of Violence Against Women) until December 10th. Specifically in Canada it is until December 6th, which is Canada's National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. White Ribbon Campaigns also run throughout the year in various countries.
What is the social impact of this campaign?
The social impact of this campaign can be positive. It can be positive because the WRC has a big diversity of opinions on many issues such as ones relating moral,religious and political beliefs. Even though these issues are important it shouldn't prevent men from working together to prevent violence against women.
What is the White Ribbon Campaign?
The White Ribbon Campaign is the largest effort in the world of men , working to end violence against women. The campaigns are led by men and women and usually focus on educating boys and men. In some countries they educate the whole community on ending violence against women.
By wearing a white ribbon is symbolizes that you're making a personal pledge to never commit,condone or remain silent about violence against women.

What is the Goal of the WRC?
The goal of the WRC is to encourage men and boys to think about the choices they make when it comes to the use of violence. They also look into examining the root causes of gender-based violence and try to bring us to a future without violence.
How do they accomplish there goals?
To accomplish their goal they get men and boys engaged in educational activities that challenges their languages , their behaviors and the harmful ideas that lead to violence against women.
