Nelson Mandela was a South African revolutionary and politician who served as the President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 27 years. He was sentenced to life in prison in 1969, he was 46 at the time, in 1982 he was moved to Polls moor prison on the mainland and placed under house arrest on the grounds of a maximum security prison in 1988 and was later freed on Feb. 11, 1990 at the age of 72. It is believed that it was there that Mandela contracted tuberculosis he has suffered from various illnesses since.

Group Evaluation
There was cooperation and teamwork throughout the resilience project and everyone was able to communicate with each other. All the group members were able to make compromises and suggest ideas. Overall, everyone worked diligently and had an input onto the project.

Simon Lewis is a character from the Mortal Instruments Series that is also portrayed by Robert Sheehan. In both the book and movie, he had previously been a mundane before he got turned into a vampire, but was able to survive.

Helen Keller was a woman that was both blind and deaf since she was 19 months old. However, against all the odds, Helen was able to speak, read, and write with the help of her teacher Anne Sullivan.
She was also the first blind and deaf person to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
Thomas Edison was an American inventor and businessman in the late 1800s. He invented many devices that greatly influenced history and life, such as the practical electric light bulb, motion picture camera, and the phonograph. However, most of his early attempts to inventing were not always successful, but he kept trying and in the end succeeded. his most famous quote : I have not failed, I have just found 10000 ways that don't work
People that live in both Haiti and Japan most likely have experienced devastating natural disasters. However, after the earthquake, tsunami, or etc. hits, these people are able to unite and clean the environment together.

Beethoven was a famous musical composer and a pianist in the early 1800s. He has created numerous compositions, but became deaf at an early age. However, he persevered continue to pursue music
Nanny of the Maroons is a jamaican hero that assisted slaves in escaping from plantations and stow away to the mountains. She is considered strong-willed because of her unwavering hope for freedom and belief in others.
Superman is a superhero that possesses tremendous strength, sharp senses, enhance vision, super speed, and the ability to fly. His body is virtually indestructible. He is a true hero that works for the greater good of mankind and self-sacrifices to save the lives of citizens. During multiple battles with evil villains, Superman was nearly defeated, but he is able to keep going and in the end defeat them.
