Center Hours
August 17 – December 7
Monday – Thursday: 6 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Friday: 6 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Sunday: 12 – 7 p.m.

Abbreviated Hours: November 22-25
Monday – Friday: 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Sunday: closed

Closures: Sept. 7, Nov. 26-29

The Aquatics Center will be closed November 1 – January 10 due to renovations.

All the activities in the game room are free.Playing games is easy. you simply have to check out the equipment with your panther card and then return it the same way.
Activities:

• Billiards
• Air Hockey
• Darts
Students can bring their own wii game to play on the flat screen that is in the game room.

Aquatics
At the rec center there are American Red Cross instructors available to help Adults and children learn how to swim. There are also chair lifts and wheel chairs available for people with disabilities.
Cost Per Session
-Students & their children: $20
-Other members & their children: $40
The cost for Saturday classes are cheaper.

They also offer safety programs such as CPR, First Aid and Water Safety courses.

Fitness
Students have the option to meet one on one sessions with personal trainers and nutrition councilors. The sessions start at $10 for students and $15 for other members. The rec center also offers several free fitness classes.
Free Fitness Classes:
zumba
indoor cycling
kickboxing
boot camp
ab blast
cardio sculpt
and much more
Classes are in session anywhere from 11am - 7 pm Monday through Saturday.
You can attend any of these classes to see if you like them and if you don't there's no charge to drop out of the class.

This facility has two large fields that are used
for intermuerals and sports club events. This area can also be reserved and used by student groups.
Indian Creek Location: 900 South Indian Creek Drive

Challenge Program ropes course.
Intramurals
Intramurals at Georgia State are organized competitive and recreational activities. Students get to compete against other students and recreation members. The teams are all male, all female, or coed.


The fall 2015 intramurals have two phases. The Phase 1 registration period is from
August 24 - September 13.
Phase 1 includes:
flag football
racquetball
indoor soccer
sand volleyball
Phase 2 registration is from October 5 - October 25
Phase 2 includes:
dodgeball
3v3 basketball
volleyball
arena ultimate frisbee

Rock Climbing
The rec center is equipped with a three story rock wall. in order to climb you need to rent a pair of climbing shoes, free of charge using your panther card.

The recreation center has 4 different instructional clinics. These consist of dance,martial arts,sport instruction and yoga. For students the clinic registration cost $20 and for other members it's $40. For more information such as dates and times contact the coordinator Stepanie Belcher.

Touch The Earth
Touch the earth consists of numerous outdoor recreations programs , which offer a wide variety of experiences designed for all skill levels lead by a team of experienced volunteer trip leaders. These programs are open to Georgia State students amnd faculty staff. The minimum age to participate is 16.

One interesting program that they have is the Challenge Program where people are offered different ways to improve their abilities when working with others. The program is facilitated at the Indian Creek Facilitation Center.
