Multiplying Whole Numbers
Multiplying Whole Numbers are very simple.
Example: 2 x 2/4
~ 2= 2/2
~ Multiply the numerators ( 2x2 )
~Multiply the denominators ( 2x4)
~Result:
2x2= 4
2x4= 8
4/8

Why do we use fractions?
we use fractions when cutting or splitting things into portions.
we also use portions in companies when you own a share of e.x. a hats making company.
You can use it in money as well. Fractions are everywhere!

Review
convert whole numbers into improper fractions by multiplying the whole number by the denominator
multiply denominators together, and numerators together
see if you can simplify the answer, by finding the LCM (lowest common multiple)
after you can't simplify any more, turn the improper fraction into a mixed number.
Dividing Mixed Numbers
Multiply the bottom number of the fraction by the whole number
