WHEN TO VISIT?

-The best time to visit is Greece is spring and early summer
- (mid-Apr to mid-June) or autumn (Sept to mid-Oct)

-This way, you'll avoid the summer high season, with its crazy prices, hordes of tourists and high temperatures (heat waves of 100°F/+40C are routine).

-Olympia, the site of the ancient Olympic Games, is in the western part of the Peloponnese

-According to Greek mythology, Greece the founder of the Olympic Games.

-Olympia functioned as a meeting place for worship and other religious practices in the 10th century and then it was used as the starting place for the Olympics
