Positive and Negative Behaviors in Work Environment

As a summary, we will talk about those topics according to Industrial Psychology

Positive and negative attitudes ;

-Innovative behaviors
-Altruistic behaviors
-Prosocial behaviors
-Anger , Stress and Agression
-Disrespectful or abusive behavior
-Subversive behavior
-Failure to provide constructive feedback

We will describe and discuss
those main topics which are very important in working environment and give tips to succeed on projects, meet goals, and just generally enjoy your job more. However, many people struggle with this, especially those who don’t love their jobs.And then we will compare negative and positive attitudes in the organization such as ‘’Anger, Stress and Agression’’.

Prosocial behaviors are those intended to help other people. Prosocial behavior is characterized by a concern about the rights, feelings and welfare of other people. Behaviors that can be described as prosocial include feeling empathy and concern for others and behaving in ways to help or benefit other people.

Alturism involves the unselfish concern for other people. It involves doing things simply out of a desired to help not because you feel obligated to out of duty, loyalty or religious reasons.
Everyday life is filled with small acts of alturism for instance from the person who offers his own seat in a bus to old lady. Or who gives money to a beggar.
Innovative behavior describes all activities that belong to generating, evaluating, realizing and implementing of new ideas.innovative behavior also includes the adaptation of others’ existing ideas besides just new ones.
Characteristics of an innovative employee
Visionary view on challenges and solutions
Openness to change
Thorough presentation of ideas and solutions
Persuasive power

“An innovative employee has extraordinary skills to provide or distribute his knowledge to others.”
“Interviews show that innovative work is a combination of individual motivation and clever teamwork.”

Anger, Stress and Agression
There is already enough stress in the workplace dealing with the day-to-day issues that arise. Venting or repressing anger and agression one form of negativity, in the workplace or anywhere else increases stress for yourself and others. A negative attitude can lead to failure. Emotional management -- changing negative attitudes to positive ones -- can actually increase work performance.

Whining is defined as complaining for the godsake of complaining. It is complaining without actively seeking to be involved in the solution. Whining is unethical and destructive. Identifying problems that need to be fixed and helping solve them is good whining. Bad whining is evil and is usually the first sign that someone needs to go.
Disrespectful or
abusive behavior
Everyone will be grumpy or short-tempered on occasion. But there is a difference between having a bad day and being rude and disrespectful. Some people are arrogant and abusive and need to go work for your competitors.
Subversive behavior
Subversive behavior is unethical. If you work for a company that you don't agree with, you only have two ethical choices. If you are going to accept the paycheck, then swallow your pride and do the job in the manner requested. If you disagree with the way things are being done, then resign and seek other employment. But you do not have the right to take the paycheck and then undermine the programs of your employer. Subversive behavior is the highest form of evil.
Failure to provide
constructive feedback
There is a proper way to train people and a helpful way to give feedback. Crushing a person is rarely a constructive pathway to strong teamwork.
