Bullying is a repeated act of harm
done verbally, physically, or online.
Verbal
taunting
intimidating
threatening
spreading rumors
rude comments

kicking
destroying property
stealing from the victim
shoving
pushing
Bullying vs. Teasing
Teasing is when you bother, annoy or make fun of someone and it is not a repeated act.

Bullying is when you are repeatedly being mean, cruel, or trying to hurt someone.
Warning Signs
changes in behavior
won't eat
bad dreams
sadness/depression
grades drop
being really clingy to parents
low self-esteem
Effects on the Victim
frequent visits to the nurse
deterioration in grades
anxiety
depression
start to lie about being bullied
refusal to go to school
lose interest in activities
Effects on the Bully
vandalism
have to go to the principal
detention
unexplained new belongings
thinks violence is a good way to get what they want
abuse alcohol and drugs
blame others for their problems
drop out of school
