Top 10 Hall of Famers 1. Leevary Covnington- Sport-(Football)-Tenure: 1990-93 He played linebacker for four seasons under head coach Bill Hayes. Covington was a two-time All-MEAC first-team performer, who won MEAC Defensive Player of the week four times. After his stellar collegiate career, he then signed a free agent contract with the Miami Dolphins. Record Holders

Carmen Barrantes- Santaria MVP '80-'84 2. Shirley Felicia Hall- Sports- (Basketball and Softball)-Tenure: 1977-1981 Shirley helped establish the women's basketball program. She earned All-NCAIAW in each of those seasons , and had a career game of 31 points and 19 rebounds. Hall is now a correctional case analyst in Spring Hope, NC. 3. Ronald O'berry Hart- Sport- (Football)-Tenure: 1960-64 Ronald Mastered both the classroom and the gridiron. In 1962, he helped the Aggies compile a 7-3 record. Two seasons later, he led the Aggies to the CIAA Championship. During the same seaon the Aggies also won the Thanksgiving Day Classic 26-0 to our arch-rival N.C Central. 4. Frankie Williams Howell- Sport-(Softball)-Tenure: 1976-80 Frankie was the best 3rd base player in the history of the North Carolina A&T Softball program. She started all four seasons, where she helped the Aggies win a NCAIAWA Division Championship 5. Jerry Kimbrough- Position- (Athletic Trainer)- Tenure:1961-68 Jerry came to NC A&T in 1960. As a sophmore he became a student athletic trainer under the then trainer Hornsby Howell. Jerry became head trainer in 1964. Jerry kept Aggie athletes healthy enough to win titles in basketball, baseball, and football. 6. Richard Lide- Sport- (Football)- Tenure: 1989-93 Richard was the best offensive linemen to ever play at N.C A&T. Richard started an played in more games than any other Aggie in school history. Richard contributed to two MEAC Championship teams, and was a recipient forOffensive Lineman of the Year Award. 7. Charles Strigger- Sport (Football) -Tenure: 1957-61 Strigger played on both sides of the football during his playing days at A&T. He helped the Aggies win back-to-back CIAA titles in 1958 and '59. Strigger earned second team All-CIAA honors in 1958. Striggeer went to play professiolnally with the Pittsburg Steelers and the Denver Broncos. He also played in the Canadian Football League. 8. Craig Thompson- Sport- (Football)- Tenure: 1990-91 Although Craig on;y spent two seasons at A&T he put up incredible numbers as helped the Aggies winthe 1991 MEAC Championship. Craig still holds the career touchdown receptions record with 10. he also holds the all-time record for career touchdown receptions with 19. Craig was also selected as a honorable mention for All-American by the Association Press, was also selected as a Sheridan Black College All-American, and was a two time All-MEAC member. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 1992 NFL Draft. He also played for the Pittsburgh Steelersand the Jacksonville Jaguars. 9. Roy Thompson, Jr. -Position(s)- (Director of Track and Field Programs)- Tenure:1965-68 For five decades, Roy "Spaceman" Thompson has made a solid contributuin to N.C A&T Athletics. Thompson earned the nickname "Spaceman" for his phenomenal jumps that sent him soaring in the air like he was in space. Thompson was a three-time All-CIAA jumper. He competed in the triple jump, long jump and 400 yard relay. In college, Thompson placed first in the triple jump and long jump at the Atlantic Coastal Regional Track and Field Meet in 1966. Two years later,, he placed first in the broad jump at the AAU Track and Field Meet. During the same season he broke the N.C A&T Intercollegiate Track and Field Championship Meet Record with a long jump of 23-feet. He has reached legendary status with five MEAC championships. He has coached all nine All-Amreican, 15 National Qualifiers, and 72 individual MEAC championships. Head Administration Director of intercollegiate athletics Earl Hilton Was announced as the director of intercollegiate athletics on Feb. 3, 2011 after serving as the interim for three months. As the director of athletics, Hilton serves as the chief executive and administrator for 15 Division 1 varsity sports governed by the NCAA. In this position, Hilton oversees the fiscal management of N.C. A&T Athletics, provides guidance for 10 head coaches and he sets the departments direction through= his communications with University leaders and constituents, alumni and friends, city and community leaders and financial supporters. Head Baseball Coach Joel Sanchez Joel Sanchez is entering his second year at the helm of the North Carolina A&T men's baseball program, and after beginning his tenure in August 2011. Head Football Coach Rod Broadway Broadway is entering his second season as the head football coach at North Carolina A&T. His first season at the helm produced a lot of excitement about the future of Aggie football. The Aggies not only had a four-win from their 1-10 season in 2010, but they also in the thick of the MEAC race midway through the season before a four-game road trip derailed their chances. Also in his first year, Broadway became the first Aggie head coach in school history to produce a 2,000-yard passer, a 1,000-yard rusher and a 1,000-yard receiver. Men Head Basketball Coach Cy Alexander became the ninth North Carolina A&T men's basketball coach in the modern era on April 20, 2012. Alexander brings with him a wealth of experience in constructing a championship program within the MEAC. Alexander led S.C. State to seven MAC tournament title games, winning five of those contest over a 16-year span. Before Alexander arrived in Orangeburg, the Bulldogs had captured only one MEAC regular season title, and they reached just one MEAC tournament final. in addition the school was coming off of its ninth straight losing season. Cy Alexander Women Head Basketball Coach Tarrell Robinson Robinson was named the sixth head coach in the history of the North Carolina A&T women's basketball program on May 2, 2012. He returns to A&T after spending three yeas as a assistant coach, recruiting coordinator and associate head coach at Virginia commonwealth under head coach Beth Cunningham. Before his stint at VCU, Robinson spent four successful season at A&T under legendary head coach Patricia Cage-Bibbs. Robinson made a name for himself as a talented recruiter, having brought in highly touted players to A&T and helping to lead the aggies to consecutive MEAC regular season championships starting in 2007. Head Swimming Coach North Carolina A&T head swimming coach Shawn Hendrix is entering her 13th season with the Aggies. Hendrix has been at the forefront of the swimming program since it became a varsity sport in 1998. Her emphasis on academics, personal accountability for student-athletes and her amazing ability to build a family atmosphere around the program even after swimmers have graduated as made N.C. A&T's swimming program one of the most exemplary teams on the campus. Shawn Hendrix Head Track and Field Coach Duane Ross Ross joined North Carolina A&T as the director of the track and field programs on July 11, 2012. The 2012-13 season will be his first with the Aggies, and he will be responsible for the men's and women's cross county, men's and women's indoor track and field and men's and women's outdoor track and field programs. NCAA (National College Athletic Association) is an association of more than 1,000 institutions, conferences, organizations, and individuals that organizes the athletic programs of many colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada.

1958,1959,1960,1961,1968,1969,1970 Being student athlete can be very hard to keep up with having all the practices morning and evening going to classes being tired trying to pay attention to what the teacher is saying and in class; trying not to fall asleep. Doing all your Study Hall hours every single week some having to do eight hours and ten hours. This is all called time management because there is a time to be serious about what going in your day and then there is time to relax. But don't get relaxation twisted into your day because you will end up being the same way the whole year and will get nothing done but a paper saying you have to leave school and not come back. Introduction AGGIES ATHLETES Table of Contents Mamie Jones enters her 15th season as head coach of the North Carolina A&T softball team in 2011-12. Jones has established herself as one of the most outstanding coaches in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference since she joined the program in 1994. Jones has coached seven all-MEAC players during her career and has had at least one player placed on the All-MEAC first team in four out of the last seven seasons. Head
Softball Coach Head Bowling Coach James Williams. Williams took over the Aggie Bowling program from former coach Courtney Stith, who became coach in 2004. Prior to Stith, the Aggies were led by coach Jimmy Mack. Mack is responsible for the early success of the program in which the Aggies 4 out of the first 5 MEAC Bowling Championships since the sport was officially recognized as a varsity sport by the conference in 1999. Hal Clifton became the ninth head coach in the history
of the North Carolina A&T volleyball program on August
2, 2011 when Director of Athletics Earl Hilton announced
his signing. He comes to A&T charge of leading the Aggies
back to the success they enjoyed during the
1990's and early 2000's. Head Volleyball Coach James Dunwoody enters into his
seventh season as the Head Coach of the North Carolina A&T women's tennis team in 2012. He served as the head coach for A&T's men's and women's tennis teams from 2001- 2005, and returned to be the head coach of the women's team in 2008.He led
the men's program from 11th
place to 3rd place in his tenure,
and has helped the women's

Joel Pearson enters his first season as head cross country and assistant track & field coach for North Carolina A&T. He joins the Aggies after working as director of track and field operations at the University of Iowa. In his career, Pearson has coached numerous All-Americans, including eight USATF All-Americans, five Community College All-Americans and two National Junior Olympic All-Americans in cross country. Patricia Hall- Position: Honorary Mention Patricia has supported the Sports Hall of Fame since 1995. Her many duties have included coordinating the Inductee Press Conference, Banquet, and Induction Ceremony. She also updates the membership roster and assists with executive board duties. All of her work has been done on a volunteer basis. For 27 years, Wall has volunteered her services to the Aggie Live Wire (the student organization that cheers at athletic events), A&T Fellowship Gospel Choir, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., and several other organizations. North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University adheres
to Title IX of the Educational Amendment of 1972 which prohibits
gender discrimination. The law specifically states, "No person in the
