LEONARDO DA VINCI
BAGS TO DO IN YOUR CITY

He was trained to be an artist by the sculptor and painter Verrocchio. He spent most of his life working for rich Italian noblemen.
He is famous for his paintings, but he was also a scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, sculptor, architect, botanist, musician, and a writer. Leonardo wanted to know about everything in nature. He wanted to know how everything worked. He was very good at studying, designing and making all sorts of interesting things.
Two of his pictures are among the best-known paintings in the world:
the Mona Lisa
and
The Last Supper
MONA LISA
The painting is owned by the Government of France and is shown at the Musée du Louvre in Paris. Many people think Mona Lisa's smile is mysterious. It is so often studied, recognized, and copied that it is the most famous painting in the world.
The Last Supper
Leonardo da Vinci was an Italian man . He was born in 1452 at Vinci, a small village near Florence in the center of Italy.
It is a picture of the last supper of Jesus and his disciples. It shows how they reacted when Jesus said that one of them would betray him. Each disciple has their own expression showing their own reaction to what Jesus has just told them.
