Methods of Solving Quadratic Equations Graphing Factoring Using Quadratic Formula Solutions are where the function crosses the x-axis. Solutions are found by setting the two sets of parentheses equal to 0 and solving for x. Solutions are found by using the formula: Discriminant Use this to find how many solutions you will have, regarless of which method you choose.
