Key Stage Standards ( Pangunahing Pamantayan ng Bawat Yugto)
These are the intended outcomes of Filipino Teaching at each key stage in the whole stretch of the K to 12 as lifted from the DepEd K to 12 Curriculum Guide.

Key stages

The Standards ( Learning Area/Program Key Stage and Grade Level)
Learning Area Standard
is much broader than the Key Stage Standards since the Learning Area Standards pertains to the whole learning area or course. This is the broken into standards at significant keys stages in
K t 12- end of Grade 3, Grade 6, Grade 10 and Grade 12.
The Key Stage Standards

For example, at the end of Grade 3 what are used are

"iba't ibang disiplina at teknolohiya upang magkaroon ng akademikong pag-unawa"

1. Pagunawa sa Napakinggan (PT) 6. Pagsulat (PU)
2. Pag-unawa sa Binasa (PB) 7. Wika at Gramatika (WG)
3. Paglinang ng Talasalitaan (PT) 8. Estratehiya sa Pag-aaral (EP)
4. Panonood (PN)
5. Pagsasalita (PS)

Filipino Language Teaching
is done in such a way that contributes to the development of a wholistically developed and a functionally literate Filipino.
As a program or a learning area, it's goals are:
1. Kakayahang Komunikatibo
2. Replektibo/Mapanuring Pag-iisip
3. Pagpapahalagang Pampanitikan ng iba't-ibang babasahin at teknolohiya tungo sa pagkakaroon ng pambansang pagkakakilanlan, kultural na literasi at patuloy na pagkatuto
It is expected that the standards at the various levels are aligned to one another and ultimately to the end goals of Filipino Language Teaching.
