North South Agricultural Favored Farming Slavery The united states would be different today if the constitution
would of not allowed slavery. By there would have probally never have been a civil war. The economy would have never gotten good because there would not be enough money to help the south prosper. And the society would probally be us all working together like usuall but would be segerated abolitionist did not want slavery and fugitive slave law was slaves had no rights when caught Rich plantations Used Slaves Measured wealth in land Warm and sunny climate Good climate for growing mostly europeans and slaves 1860 4 million slaves total population was 12 million small rail road small cities inventivness ruled the north created every thing by hand mostly industrlized not very wealthy Not much power Believed in hard work taken steps to end slavery warm summers Rapid population growth cites were large and centers of commerence Economy based on industries transportation improved short growing seasons huge immigration Great rail road. 31 Million Slavery allowed in constitution

Missouri Compromise
Was an agrement between pro
and anti slavery groups in
1820 after bills and amendments passed. The choice was down to let missouri become a union state or not.It became a
union state along with a slave state. Compromise of 1877
was an unwritten deal that
settled the disputes of the south
such as the removal of federal troops. And to at least appoint one
southern democrat.

some of the short term effects that america would have to soon over come would be the reconstruction of the new united america this reconstruction would take up to twelve years to finish and it started with the 3 major amendments that the goverment wouldcreate the 13th 14th an 15th. which stated that the 13th was to end slavery. the 14th grants citizenship and ends discrimination of slaveand the 15th was the voting rights to african americans long term effects

of that the new america would
have to face would be share
cropping with over 4 million slaves
in the south there was no money
and no place for these people to go.
so their original masters soon became
their buisnes partners as slaves got land
and the masters got money. So it was
a win win situation for both sides.the
second dffect would be black codes.
black codes were how a african american could
be defined as they are not a slave they were laws
passed by the southern states and the third and
final effect is jim crow know as segegeration a barrier
that prevented blacks from partisipating in white activitys plantation
an estate were large

are grown Emancipation proclamation
is a proclimation written on
september 22nd 1862 it stated
that all slave states that were
still held by the confederates were
to let all slaves go free it did not go
into effect untill 1863 Abraham lincoln was a very smart
man.As he came into the president
he had no easy task ahead of him.
He saw the south as nothing he saw
them as rebells that needed to be no more
and to stop them he had to
really think.but as the war went on there was
a huge perspective change from abraham wanting slavery not to spread to other states
to where we did not want it at all with out
him there was no hope of winning the civil war and winning over the south with slavery
