X-Rays - Medical Imaging Daniil Tanetov How does medical imaging work? What use? Computer tomography imaging also sometimes called as computer axial tomography. (http://www.dict.cc/?s=computerized+axial+tomography Computer tomography: negative factors Since the introduction of the CT scan it became
an important tool in medical imaging. Computer tomography can be used for
detecting different chronic changes in lungs. When doing a CT scan of a head normally the
main purpose of it is to find bone trauma. Medical imaging have improved the diagnosis
and treatment by many different ways. How important are medical imaging tests Computer Tomography Computer tomography or CT scan can be used for medical imaging and different variety of industrial imaging methods and processes. Some of the imaging scanners can be very harmful and yet, not all dangers are known X-rays - are the beams of radiation through the body for purpose of creating an image of different organs, blood vessels or bone structures (http://www.ct-imaging.de/index.php/en/) Ultra sound imaging They don't require ionizing radiation Used to monitoring fetal development Useful for finding organ abnormalities Not as powerful as CT scan Why CT scan is so unique It is unique, because it allows us to generate three dimensional images The image is clearer than if using the ultra sound method The cross sections of tissues and organs could be produced. It is combined with a computer to take images of different body parts. Using these images cross sections of organs and tissues can be produced How it has lead to the advancement of human kind? Bibliography It made the diagnosis of different areas deep in the body available Treatment on the early stages of the deaease http://www.google.ch/imgres?q=image+of+a+tissue+CT&um=1&hl=de&client=safari&rls=en&authuser=0&biw=1920&bih=937&tbm=isch&tbnid=1a7NuvzKfaeYeM:&imgrefurl=http://iopscience.iop.org/1748-605X/7/1/015005/article&docid=7mv9e9rGcEq4nM&imgurl=http://ej.iop.org/images/1748-605X/7/1/015005/Full/bmm404936fig05.jpg&w=520&h=392&ei=rl7XT6irKoOD4gTJx6C9Aw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=182&vpy=296&dur=1736&hovh=195&hovw=259&tx=96&ty=139&sig=103375801337358558751&page=1&tbnh=137&tbnw=182&start=0&ndsp=50&ved=1t:429,r:10,s:0,i:100 http://www.google.ch/imgres?q=CT+scanner&um=1&hl=de&client=safari&sa=N&rls=en&biw=944&bih=921&authuser=0&tbm=isch&tbnid=5wUPSZGVdowOVM:&imgrefurl=http://www.worldculturepictorial.com/blog/content/ct-scan-study-shows-increased-radiation-exposure-cancer-risks-tests-often-unnecessary&docid=Qm_nJTJ7jB4aLM&imgurl=http://www.worldculturepictorial.com/images/content/anatomy_of_a_CT_scan.jpg&w=500&h=591&ei=X5DXT86VKpCV0QXe2dCvBA&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=402&vpy=269&dur=2624&hovh=244&hovw=206&tx=127&ty=124&sig=103375801337358558751&page=1&tbnh=136&tbnw=115&start=0&ndsp=21&ved=1t:429,r:6,s:0,i:90 http://www.google.ch/imgres?q=ct+scan&um=1&hl=de&client=safari&rls=en&authuser=0&biw=944&bih=921&tbm=isch&tbnid=oD4yVUL5-VQoxM:&imgrefurl=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-ray_computed_tomography&docid=CGaz89h2e38ZnM&imgurl=http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/7e/Wilms_Tumor_CTScan.OGG/seek%25253D3-Wilms_Tumor_CTScan.OGG.jpg&w=512&h=450&ei=95LXT-LiI6SL4gTC-bi9Aw&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=305&sig=103375801337358558751&page=1&tbnh=136&tbnw=203&start=0&ndsp=23&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0,i:69&tx=76&ty=28 http://www.radiologyinfo.org/en/info.cfm?pg=genus http://www.dict.cc/?s=computerized+axial+tomography CT scanner
