Step Two Then, when you can see your blank background, double click on the background layer in the Layers Pallet to unlock the layer. Step Three Every time you draw something new, you have to create a new layer. Layers are like clear sheets that go on top of each other to make a picture. Step Four When you are ready to paint, you have to choose a brush. You do this by clicking on the paintbrush icon on the left side of the screen. Then you go up to the properties bar and choose the brush type and brush size. Step Five After choosing your brush, you can change the color of the paint. You change the color by clicking on the color picker on the left side of the screen. From there you pick the color and start painting your landscape. Color Picker Step Six If while making your landscape you make a mistake, you go to the top of the screen and click Edit, Step Backwards. This deletes the last step you took in your landscape. Composite Project Step One First you drag the image you want onto the Photoshop icon in your dock. Then you unlock the background layer on each image. Step Two To delete around the part of the image you want, you can click on the magic wand tool, which selects similar colors, click on a part of the image, and click delete. Step Three After you delete what you want, before you move on, you have to hit Command + D, to deselect what is selected. Step Four Another way to delete parts of an image is to use the eraser tool. To bring back anything you erased, you hold option and erase. Step Five To blend two things together, you go to the properties bar and choose a soft eraser. Then you adjust the opacity so you have to go over something multiple times to erase it. To make a sharp, clean edge, you should use a sharp eraser. Step Six To move an image around, click the move tool in the top left corner of the window. Step Seven To re size an image, you hit Command + T for transformation. While resizing, you should hold Shift so it doesn't get too thin or wide. Color Change First, you find a large image on Google Images with vibrant colors, open it up, and drag it on to your desktop. Then you drag the image onto the Photoshop icon on your dock. Step One Step Two Next, you unlock the background layer by double- clicking on it, and create a new layer. Step Three Next, you go to the Color Picker, and choose the color that you want to change the part of the image to. Step Four Then click on the paintbrush icon, choose the brush and the size, and paint only the part of the image that you want to change the color of. Step Five Then you go above the Layers Palette and click Normal. Scroll down to Hue and click on it. Step Six Lastly, you can touch up your picture by using the eraser and erasing the color that you don't want there. Before After Desaturation Project Before After Step One First, you choose an image and drag it into the Photoshop icon on your dock. Step Two Then, you unlock the background layer by double-clicking, and create a copy of the layer by dragging the layer to the New Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers Pallet. Step Three Next, you click on Image at the top of the screen, then click Adjustments, and go down to Desaturate. Step Four Then, you click on the Add a Mask icon at the bottom of the Layers Pallet. Step Five Click on the Paintbrush icon and paint with black on top of the object that you wish to keep the color of. Step Six Finally, if you bring back some color that you don’t want, you can flip the color by clicking on the little two way arrow above the color picker and painting back over it.
