Transcript of SNAPCHAT

SNAPCHAT
Snapchat is an image messaging and multimedia mobile application.

wHAT IS SNAPCHAT?
WHO CREATED IT?
IT WAS created by Evan Spiegel, Bobby Murphy, and Reggie Brown, former students at Stanford UniversiTY
The prototype for Snapchat was started by Brown and Spiegel as a project for one of Spiegel's classes at Stanford, where Spiegel was a product design major. Beginning as "Picaboo", the idea was to create a selfie app which allowed users to share images that were explicitly short-lived and self-deleting.
First steps...
GROWTH
In May 2012, 25 images were being sent per second and, as of November 28, 2012, users had shared over one billion photos on the Snapchat iOS app, with 20 million photos being shared per day. In November 2012, Spiegel cited problems with userbase scalability as the reason why Snapchat was experiencing some difficulties delivering its images, known as "snaps", in real time
here some things the app does
you can do more things like,video-chat,text calls, etc. AND YOU DON'T EVEN NEED A PHONE NUMBER!
is snapchat useful?
I ask my brother if he thought that snapchat was usefull and he told me,

"i think snapchat is useful but as LOTS OF things, it has its pros and cons. one pro IS that you can communicate with people, WHILE A con can be that you are CONNECTED with the phone or computer, watching other's people life instead of BEING IN REAL LIFE WITH THEM
SOMETHING almost ALL THE PEOPLE ON SNAPCHAT "LOVE"
YES, YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.
FIRES!
the "fires" appear when you talk with one person every day. at the 4th day of talking beside the name of your friend is going to appear 3 fires, and each day one more number will appear. if you don't talk for 24 hours the "fires" will disappeared.
