Ellen DeGeneres
- Date of Birth, January 26, 1958; raised in Metairie, Louisiana

-Ellen parents raised her as a Christian Scientist until the age of thirteen and her parents got divorced the following year.

-Ellen’s mother got remarried and moved with her from New Orleans area to Atlanta, GA -Graduated from Atlanta High School in May 1976

- attend the University of New Orleans

- she worked at a law firm, J.C Penney, TGI Friday’s as a waitress, a house painter, a hostess and much more

-She worked hard and from a lot of small rolls and television spots came staring rolls on television and film Education/Work:

-Funny, kind, cool, down-to-earth and generous

-Ellen as good sense of money and a talent for business

-When she was a judge on American idol in 2010, she was the prefect person to give bad criticized in the right way. Ellen was funny but only spoke the truth. Personality Traits:

- During a public speaking event, Ellen found herself frightened by the crowd

- She started to perform in 1981 at the age of 23, she was working at coffee shop when she was discovered by The Late Show with David Letterman and soon went on to appear on many other shows

-In 2003, she host her own T.V talk show called Ellen
Important Events/Accomplishments: -1997, she “came out”, stating that she was gay and become advocate of LGBT rights

-She is married to Portia De Rossi, the wedding took place in 2008 We all have rights
-Take risks, never stopped trying

-Ellen started performing at a small coffee shop, getting to known as a comedian and meeting the right people Key to Success:
-Fighting for equal rights; woman = man and gay marriages
-Working as a strong women in a male dominated career Challenges:
