Legend By: Alexa White Keith Lionel Urban Born on October 26, 1967 Whangarai, North Island, New Zealand The Early Ages... At the age of 4, the Urban family moved to a small farming town in Caboolture, Australia. Keith learned how to play the guitar at 6 years old when a woman put a sign up in his father's shop offering lessons. Growing Up... Brother: Shane Urban
Parents: Bob & Marienne Urban Only the Beginning... In 1988, Keith debuted his first album in Australia that was self titled "Keith Urban". It became a success and he scored 4 Number 1 country singles. Starting Out... Urban's first Nashville band, The Ranch, was formed and they released their first album, "The Ranch" in 1997. A Bump in the Road... In 1998, he checks into the Cumberland Heights treatment center in Nashville for his cocaine and alcohol addiction. Keith became passionate for American country music from his parents. As a teenager, Keith won several talent shows and joined a country band. He dropped out of high school at 15 to pursue his musical career. In 1992, he moved to Nashville Tennessee. They had 2 singles that were on the Billboard country charts. The band broke up in 1998 when Keith decided to pursue a solo career. He has been to rehab 3 times from 1998 to 2006. Becoming A Star... 1999 "Keith Urban" 2002 "Golden Road" 2004 "Be Here" 2006 "Love, Pain, & The Whole Crazy Thing" 2009 "Defying Gravity" 2010 "Get Closer" The Big Day... And Then There Were Two... July 7, 2008 Sunday Rose Kidman Urban was born. Where Is He Now? He is a judge on the 2013 season of American Idol! Thank You For Watching! (: On June 25, 2006 Keith Urban was married to Nicole Kidman in Sydney, Australia's Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel on St. Patrick's Estate.
Nicole stood by Keith's side as he returned to rehab shortly after they were married and was released from the facility in January of 2007. December 28, 2010 Faith Margaret Kidman Urban was born.
