Mood: Mood is how a piece of writing makes you feel while you are reading it. Tone: Tone is the attitude that an author takes with the reader. Internal Conflict Character vs. Self Deciding if something is right or wrong Who You Are vs. Who You Want To Be External Conflict Any conflict between the character and something or someone outside of themselves. Three main types of external conflict: Character VS. Character Character VS. Society Character VS. Nature (or fate) Internal Rhyme:
When a word in the middle of a line rhymes with a word at the end of a line. External Rhyme: External = Outside External rhyming happens when the "outside" edge
