to the heart. This disease can cause

Electrocardiogram-checks regularity Echocardiogram-creates picture of heart Chest X-Ray Treatment most treatment for Coronary Artery Disease is..... Lifestyle Changes such as smoking, exercising,dieting, medicines.
Medicines during treatment help with high risk factors such as, high cholesterol, high blood pressure (hypertension), and irregular heartbeat. medicines exercising stopping smoking Heart Attack A Heart Attack (Myocardial Infarction) occurs when a section of the heart muscle gets damaged because of reduced blood flow
Coronary Artery Disease is the main cause of Heart Attacks Some signs and symptons are.....pain and discomfort in jaw, neck, or back; chest pain; shortness of breath; and discomfort of arms/shoulders signs/symptoms: A less severe type of Heart Attack is a spasm of a Coronary Artery

The weird thing about this condition is that it shows NO symptoms at all! This means it is very important to take action and make sure that your cholesterol levels are where they should be How can you get this? some ways you can develop high or low Cholesterol is by eating Satuarated fats, Trans-Fatty Acids, Triglycerides, it can run in the family (famial hypercholesterol), by being older, and by being a woman. This condition can be found in men but it's more common in women. Other conditions Angina- chest pain
Arrhythmias- abnormally fast/slow heart beats
Atherosclerosis- Narrowing of the Arteries
Cardiomyopathy- muscles are enlarged/rigid Fun Facts 47% of Cardiac deaths take place outside of a hospital
In 2005, on 27% of people were aware of all symptoms
High Blood Pressure is also known as the "SILENT KILLER"
1 in 3 people have hypertension
935,000 people have a heart attack each year
470,000 people have a second each year
Almost half deaths in 1999 couldnt have been treated
1 in 4 deaths are Heart disease related
Heart Disease cost the united states 108.9 billion dollars a year
people with high cholesterol have 2x more risk of heart disease
71 million americans tested positive for LDL
