How He killed...
Rodrigues did not have a unique way killing. He would kill in any way possible, and he would sometimes torture his victims.
Pedro Rodrigues Filho,a.k.a Pedrinho Matador, was born in 1954 in Santa Rita do Sapucai, a farm in Brazil.
Pedro was born with an injured skull as the result from the beatings his dad gave her mom during her pregnancy.
Rodrigues committed his first murder against the vice-Mayor of Alfenas, Minas Gerais at the age of 14. He murdered him because he had fired his father, a school guard, after being accused of stealing the school kitchen's food.
Number of Victims
Rodrigues killed over 100 people, but only 71 have been proven.
Signs of Cannibalism
Rodrigues was first arrested in May 24, 1973. While he was in incarcerated, he killed atleast 47 inmates. In 2003, has senteced 128 years. But since Brazilian law system prohibits for a person to be in jail for more than 30 years, he was released in April 24, 2007.
Despite his other killings, he also killed another serial killer, Francisco de Assis Pereira a.k.a. The Park Maniac.
Rodrigues was affected by several factors. First of all, the injury to his head might affected him. He might also have learned his violent behavior from watching his father beat his mom. All in all, Rodrigues was a maniac.
At the age of 13, Pedro had the first urge of killing. After a fight with his older cousin, he pushed him into a sugar cane press. Fortunately, he didn't die.
First Urges to Kill
Rodrigues' father was very violent. He killed his wife with a machete. To get revenge, Rodrigues killed his father, cut out his heart, and eat a piece of it.
Like many other serial killers, Rodrigues suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The trauma may have come from watching his father beat up his mother.
