Genocide in Rwanda and Sudan
Transcript of Genocide in Rwanda and Sudan
The Economy has become poor because of this act,
fewer people are visiting Africa, also all money has gone towards weapons instead of money for needs of the people, such as food, and clean clothing. This Genocide had taken place in 1994 during the months of April-July. It had only lasted on hundred days but during those days 20,000 people had died.
The Rwanda genocide consisted of young Tutsi men fighting agents the Hutu Government. The Hutu had wanted Political power over the tuttis, when they unwillingly gave them it they decided to commit mass murder. The Sudan Genocide is still going on, but is at cease fire. There is no peace treaty in place.
The muslim government has taken over and killed 300,000 people and more could be killed. The muslim government want to change the people of Sudan and Darfur religious views.
Genocide- When one culture of people want power over another culture of people, Ex: The Holocaust. The last reason i think the Sudan genocide was more effective than the Rwanda Genocide is that the people have no say in what goes on, The Government have complete control over them and they have stronger weapons than the people of Sudan and Daur. The Rwanda Genocide had been effective towards the people of Africa and the family's that had lost loved ones, but however the Rwanda Genocide was less effective than the Sudan Genocide because less people had died. One other reason the Rwanda Genocide was less effective because it was solved with in a matter of one hundred days. Genocide is one of the many problems in Africa, taking the lives of many people and leaving family's heart broken from the death of there family member or friend. Genocide is and act of violence towards people for ethnic differances or a stride for power and killing to get it To help prevent this act you can contact media telling them you would like more/better coverage on places at risk of genocide. You can also Get engaged in your communicate telling friends family coworkers ex about what you know about Genocide to help prevent Genocide. Fraser, Giles.
