Transcript of St. Barts

St. Barts Many people believe that St. Barts was discovered by Christopher Columbus and named in honor of his brother Bartolomeo. The French once owned St. Barts but then it was sold to Sweden in 1784. St. barts is part of the French overseas department of Guadeloupe and therefore flys the flag of France. The French national flag displays the countries national colors; blue, white, and red. The colors stand for liberty, equality, and fraternity. The national language of St. Barts is French which is a very big part in St. Barts's culture. The capitol of St. Barts is Gustavia. Some other major cities are Lorient, Corossol, and Colombmbier. The January 2007 census tells us that St. bart's population is 8,450 inhabitants which equals 402 inhabitants per km.
