Peregrine Falcon Home * They live on city buildings . Babies * Baby falcons are called Eyasses . * They are birds of prey ,
it means they hunt birds . Life span * Peregrine falcons live up to 7-15 years . Population There weren't a lot back then , because people use DDT
a spray for plants to get rid of insects , it harmed the
eggs of the peregrine . Now DDT is not allow anymore . Food Pictures * Also on steep cliffs . * They live all around the world , but Antarctica . * They hunt small or medium birds * They can eat pigeons , bats , and ducks . * They can grow up to 14-19 inches . The estimate of the population was about 1,650 . * Peregrine falcons can catch their prey in mid-air ,
they have this powerful dive and special talons . DDT makes their eggs shells
thin , they can break easily . * They live on the Rocky Mountains . * They are endangered animals , because of DDT . * Can lay to 3-4 eggs . CAN YOU BELIEVE IT !!!!! FAMALE FALCONS ARE BIGGER THAN MALE FALCONS ! Peregrine Falcons dives can be faster than a cheetah! * Great horn owls can take the eggs at night , peregrine and the great horn owls are enemies .
