All About Frozen Precipitation snowflakes & ice crystals
snowflakes are clumps of alot of ice crystals
How do we get large,fluffy snowflakes?
when it's close to feezing, but not exactly freezing
little wind
They have 6 arms!!
they are made through faceting-->when some parts of the crystal grow faster than others
after faceting, hexagonal prisms are formed The reason it's white:
it has indecint light reflected by a bunch of ice crystals , & the light is moved around, and as an affect, the light flees back out....Because they are spread equally, the color seems to be white It can be too cold to snow:

when an amount of moist air pops up and cools, it maks crystals before its enviroment becomes too cool
if temperatures plumment to -20 degrees C, snow has fell & air is no longer moist,
the rest of the clouds have ice crystals, but there is a slim to no chance of any snow being made anymore

pure snowflakes contain 2-200 ice crystals! Their formation
(Why they form flakes instead of pellets)
big raindrops in the form of solid (frozen) balls/ very large pellets
made by forceful thunderstorms
when reaching the bottom of the cloud, some of the droplets are brought back to the highest point of the storm by the updraft
the hail then falls back through the clouds, and more layers of frozen water are added to the droplets
typically, the stronger the storm, the bigger the hail is, because this cycle can be repeated

more likely to happen in winter than any other season
