What is Dyslexia?
Dyslexia is a developmental reading disorder that is a reading disability that occurs when the brain does not properly recognize and process certain symbols.

As many as 80% of all individuals identified with learning disabled are dyslexic.

Even before kindergarten, a kid who has dyslexia usually has trouble with letters and sounds.
Prevention of Dyslexia
There is no known way to prevent dyslexia. However, because the neurological problems that cause dyslexia may be related to pre-birth factors, and children who are born prematurely or at a low birth weight are at higher risk for dyslexia, it is wise to follow the usual recommendations for a healthy pregnancy.
Taping lectures rather than writing notes
