What task does the robot perform?
What human function or task does this robot simulate?
The performance of this robotic dog is to act as a real dog. The task that this toy simulates is to listen to your commands with help and imitate actions like a real dog.
Where is the robot used? What is its work envelope?
The robot Zoomer is used at home for kids play. He gets fully charged in an hour, and "falls asleep" when out of power. It can be charged by a USB chord connected to your computer or charge from a plug from a wall.
Is the robotic
multi-functional? If so, what other tasks can it perform?
No, Zoomer is not multi-functional . It can't perform any other task except to only be your dog.
How is the robot taught to perform its task?
Spend enough time "training" Zoomer and you may finally get him out of training mode so he doesn't forget commands. Must be programmed by humans.

What sensors does the robot have and how does the robot use these sensors?
It has motorized joints and sensors in its chest to detect motion, objects, and touch. It responds to voice commands in three different languages: Spanish, English, French.
