Collaberative Student Lesson Plans
THE LESSON PLAN
This part should be discussed collaboratively with your group and agreed on by majority vote. Lesson planning is extremely important and can be fun. When planning
keep in mind
that you will only have
to teach your lesson so make sure your lesson does not exceed that time AND STICKS TO THE OBJECTIVE....
Lesson Plans Need Critical Thinking Questions to Discuss
• Each lesson must include an
that should be explained to the class how it would be used and why it would be an effective learning activity. (we cannot engage in these activities due to our time constraints, but they must be explained and used as a homework assignment) So, think of some activities you have experienced in other classes or even mine that you liked and think would help students learn your topic. I can provide a sheet and web sites with helpful activities that might be a good fit for your lesson and topic.
• Finally you will need to create an
for your lesson this should include all the terms and names from the textbook that should have been addressed in your presentation. I would like this assessment to follow the one of the following formats
1. Fill in the Blank quiz
2.True or False quiz
3.Multiple Choice quiz or
4. Writing Assignment that includes a rubric for grading it.
This group Presentation will be graded by the following Rubric
The first step to creating a lesson plan is to know your topic.
So research your topic well and impress your peers
This is what is expected of you:
The class will be assigned to groups and given topics from chapter 27 and 29. Each group will be responsible for creating a lesson plan for that topic and guided by the assigned OBJECTIVE.
• Each lesson plan must be CREATED using the Prezi presentation software and must incorporate the
ASSIGNED for your topic. This is powerful presentation software and can make any lesson visually exciting. All presentation must include appropriate images, captions, and questions for your classmates to take note and discuss.
• Throughout the presentation there should be
CRITICAL THINKING QUESTIONS
about your topic's objective written in the presentation. (They should reflect on the OBJECTIVE) All questions used in your presentation should be researched, discussed and answered by the entire group. The presenters must engage the class with these questions
to assess your audience to see if they understand your presentation’s objective.
ALL LESSONS START WITH A PLAN
HERE IS HOW TO TELL WHAT LEVEL OF THINKING YOUR QUESTIONS WILL EVOKE
4.---- How does this setting compare to a tropical setting
1.---- What color is the sky?
2.---- Describe this setting?
3.---- Give an example of where you might find a setting like this?
5.----Pretend you were lost in this setting, what would you need to survive?
6.----Could this setting exist on any other planet?
